See You Again - Wiza Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth

Many of you may or may not have heard of the new single See You Again by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth but I personally think this song is great. This hit single has been released on March 17, 2015 as a track for Fast and Furious 7 and on behalf of Paul Walkers death. I know Paul Walker is a beloved actor that has impacted many lives, which is what why it touches the hearts of many.  For a song that has currently came out it has been doing very well and I believe it will continue to gain more positive reviews.

When I first heard about this song I thought that it was some "weird" song so I never gave it a chance to listen to.  I had the impression of thinking it was "weird" because one of my friends had told me he would never sing this song. My friend would sing any song so I thought this song had something negative to it to make him refuse. Overtime I finally got the chance to listen to the song, it played on the radio and I was amazed!  It was not what I expected!  First let me tell you the melody was great!  I’m usually picky when it comes down to melodies of songs but right when I heard I felt as if I was being carried into a different peaceful mindset.  The beginning of the song started off with a sweet and calming melody played by the piano.  The song sounded “real” and “natural” due to the piano because instead of using computer programs to create the melody they used a live recording of a musical instrument.  If the whole song was carried out just by the piano I would have began to find it boring but right after the chorus the drums came in giving the song a catchy beat.

Besides the beautiful melody I noticed the emotional context in dedication to Paul Walker.  Although lyrics do not stand out to me that much I took the time to listen to this one because I heard that it was a tribute to Paul Walker.  After listening to the lyrics the song appealed to me because a touching story is told explaining the loss of a close friend, which I was able to relate to.

The only thing I disliked about the song is that the more you play it the more it gets repetitive.  Of course every song is like that but this one gets repetitive too quick.  I am very fond of this song but I hear it on the radio too much, it is being over played and I hate it!  Sometimes i need a break from listening to i but either way this song will still be one of my favourite. I am sure this song will attract those who enjoy the genre or alternative hip hop or pop, the fans of Paul Walker, enjoy piano instrumentals, rap, and I hope other people enjoy it as much as I did.
